I think, and I don't really have an exact number, I have around 120 played households, between 17 saves. I think, again, I have 4 money trees in 2 of those houses. My sims are making so much money, so fast, the trees are really not necessary after a certain point. With the Shrewd trait, one of my families managed to accumulate over 800k. I ended up removing half of it, because it was pointless.
I don't see the point in cheating to max out the money, I mean...what to spend it on? I never have enormous bills, there is nothing in B/B that cost that much. In TS3 we had the cars, and a ginormous 72k (I think) plane lawn ornament. I mean, that's the kind of ridiculous luxury objects we don't have in TS4.
