More options for disabilaty

As you know I have neurogical disabilaties.Specifically autisim and adhd.

I was thinking about other things we can have in the game. That can have the option to represent people with neurogical disabilaties.

Like necklaces that have pop ems acceserise.
Or add Sensory objects to use in the game like pop ems, fidget toys .

Not full traits, but maybe like a side trait. That can emulate symptoms.Like maybe a side trait senstivity. With this sims can not like loud music or certain textures can bother them . Or absent trait that tends to make sims distracted and makes a bit harder for focuse.

Those are my ideas.

Thank you @Horrorgirl6 for being open with sharing your personal disabilities here. It's authentic and additive to the forum.

I agree the Sims and other life sims should explore disabilities, though it is challenging. Specifically, the labeling of disorders and diseases is not ideal, which is why incorporating treatment modalities, objects, and medical devices is preferred. They can correspond to a variety of disorders and diseases. They are flexible and open-ended, not hyperspecific and clinical labels of conditions.

Oh that's why I suggested another trait system.Like a way to assign mini traits ,with the trait system. Thry already add likes and dislikes, and Growing Together other relationships.I think adding a trait or a new system really could be possible.

Thinking about vegaterrian, loctus intolerant should be added to that system.

Did you play The Sims Medieval? The sims had 2 regular traits and a compulsory flaw which could be replaced by a special trait if certain conditions were met. It would be interesting to have something closer to that where there are slots for different types of traits. For example, regular traits, flaws and then special traits that would account for neurodiversity or other health conditions. Lifestyles (including diet traits) could have their own category as well. I'm sure this is a topic for the next iteration of the game, which I wasn't originally planning to play, but if truly free to play I'm sure I'll succumb anyway!

I LOVED this aspect of Sims Medieval. The Fatal Flaw! I've been begging for Flaws and Phobias to be added to CAS for years. "Flawed" sims are so much more interesting than "perfect" ones, in my opinion. <3
  • I would also like to see the Phobias in CAS so that I might avoid them completely. I don't need my Sims to be pyrophobic, it's enough that I am scared of fire as well as agoraphobic ... that phobia (or something quite similar) once showed up as well for one of my Sims... no thanks, I really don't want this :disappointed:
Flaws sound interesting, though. Never played Sims Medieval, so I have no clue about its game-play, but I also think if not everything works out fine for and with them, that would add some spice to the game. I also would really like to see one-sided friendships or even crushes to have some drama with that. Even a phobia for that I might like.

I use mods, so if that is an option for you, adeepindigo creates lots of mods and one of them is a mod that deals with neurodivergence.
  • I really wish they include muteness in the game, something like:

    • Mute voice option
    • Medical wearable that allows a robotic voice
    • American Sign Language animations during any conversation.
