More Sim behavior Questions

I'm confused about Sim ages.&nbsp;I had a teen sim that I hooked up with a random townie teen "Kaori". They hit it off. Just when I was about to do the entire "first kiss/be my girlfriend" thing SHE AGED UP right in front of me. Luckily, my teen, "Ben" age up the next day.&nbsp;Eventually they got married. Since Ben (and his little sister, Gwen) are the 7th generation of my legacy family they had plenty of money. So I moved them into a big **bleep** house with their mother. My question is Ben aged up into an adult four days before Kaori, but wasn't she older when they met? She aged into a Young Adult before he did, even if it was only by a day.&nbsp;I was even more confused when Ben and Kaori got married. Usually the "new" sim has no job, but she had one...as a comedian. AND she was literally ONLY ONE STEP from the top of that career as a YA. I found that out right after they were married. Ben (graduated HS early) was still in university, but she somehow jumped all the rungs and was basically at the top of her career path.&nbsp;Is this normal or did I just get lucky?&nbsp;SIDE NOTES: I found it hilarious that when I moved them from Willowcreek to Windenburg all of the townies wore paper bags on their heads. I had to wait until they could vote to repeal it. Even the ghosts of Ben's parents wore paper bags.&nbsp;Why are nannies such a pain? Gwen is still a YA and in University. She went on a Cupid date. Everyone but Kaori AND a nanny were home to care for their newborn "Sadie". When Gwen left her date, Ben walked into the club (so I had to send him home, too.). When Gwen walked in the nanny was watching TV, the grandmother was running on the treadmill buck naked and the baby was on the floor by the crib with hygiene and food in SUPER RED...and when Gwen got home the nanny was like "Times up, gotta go!" and bounced. Really? There were THREE adults that had NOTHING else important to do when her date started and none of them cared for the infant? Needless to say I had Gwen rake care of the child. Ben wandered in and he was so low on energy he just went to bed. I called for another nanny that didn't show up until hours later. WTF?&nbsp;

Sims don’t age while pregnant. So if Kaori was roughly a day older and eventually became around four days younger… I’m guessing two pregnancies?

As for the career… did you get any calls from her about changing careers or trying for a promotion before she joined the household? Or use the “ask to pursue dream job” social interaction?

I think many of us just shrug and say, "Oh, those silly Sims." It's really a nonsense game. Don't give yourself a headache trying to over analyze things. As for what happened with the nanny and grandma. Grandma is clearly an excentric and the nanny should be fired. I no longer trust nannies. Any more I send the wee ones to Daycare. My Sims have come home to find the Nanny way too preoccupied with the bar, if you get my drift. Anymore, I cheat up the little ones' needs before I send the parents out and about. You can also turn off needs decay for them. (Although I have not had to do that in awhile.)

One thing I disklike about the game mechanics is that the household does basically nothing when you follow other Sims to where they're going. Or, if you have several households you play, the non-active household does nothing. They don't go to school or work. This I discovered when I sent the potential love-interest to visit the non-active home. I was totally shocked.

As for your townie being that high up on their career track, congratulations. You snagged an NPC meant to be there. Yeah, you got lucky. Enjoy.

I have a story to tell about the aging up nonsense. Let me know if you wish to hear it. I was playing a Legacy Challenge at the time. It nearly derailed it.

I would LOVE to hear the story.&nbsp;As for townies with advanced skills, Gwen went on a date with a guy she met on Cupid and they got married. Once I could see all of his skills dude was maxed in piano, violin and guitar! Kind of a relief since he needed a job.&nbsp;
