Way back when babies were not attached to bassinets, you still couldn't do much with them. The only thing I really remember about baby interactions was accidentally leaving/losing them somewhere. Large house? Oh dang, where did my Sim set down the baby? Took the baby to visit someone, set it down, forgot you brought it? Can't leave the lot until you find it.
To be fair, losing the baby was as hilarious as it was frustrating. I don't think that's what people are hoping for, though. I'm really not sure what they're hoping for, to be honest...
