moving teachers in a house

I made all the teachers & the Principal homeless to make room for my sims to move to Copperdale. :p And yes, they still have their NPC teaching jobs. ;)

When one of my Sims and a teacher from hsy had a relationship and the teacher moved in (and got engaged, then married) it did make the teacher unemployed at that point.

The HSY teachers will be cycled through and replaced now and then, no matter what you do.

I really liked the Class 1 teacher, and turned off story progression so she wouldn't find a new job. Still, one day she'd been replaced. I went to the Households bin and deleted a bunch of randomized townies, including the new teacher, and the next day, my teacher was back. Once in a while, she gets replaced, and I do the same thing.

I was surprised to see the principal replaced, though! It doesn't seem to have anything to do with housing status.

And I tested this out.

Moving a teacher in won't remove them from the teaching position.

Good question...

Thinking about the principal, moving them in shouldn't remove that trait. It needs to be tested out however, and I'm unable to do that unfortunately right now.

Yes... The thing is that if you have multiple Class 1 and 2 teachers (which only happens in the case of making custom ones and using the trait cheats), it will rotate to them eventually. The rotation point in my game is usually after a stadium event happens on Thursday.

The jobs have nothing to do with that. The new roles in High School Years are only through traits and don't have a specific career. So, I put the custom teachers I've made in education career and it didn't change anything: they still appeared as a teacher there.
