Mt.Komorebi shells update

I was wondering the same thing. The "window shop" interaction isn't much, but it's definitely an improvement.

I agree so much that I'm willing to scream that I agree. And there's also "clothing store" where sims can go into and change their outfit. These would be awesome to have. No more "cinema is overbooked" excuses (they made it in Get Famous live stream about a cinema building).

One thing I really liked about Batuu was the rabbit holes where your sim can buy food/stuff.

I agree, it would be great if some of the fake buildings were given a little interaction - I was thrilled to see the little touches we are getting with CoL. It would help make the worlds more real. As it is now, sometimes when I look at all those unusable buildings I get a little annoyed because they are all like useless clutter for the world.

They are useless clutter for the world. There are so many of them and noting to do there. They should add little interactions to them. Window shopping is a good start, but they could add more like buy bread, coffee, snow suit or souvenirs. I remember in Magnolia Promenade there is this little fast food place painted on one of the fake buildings across the road from the tram track and it's so visible that I am always tempted to click on it and see if there are any interactions available.

I usually hate rabbit holes, but if they are going to make useless buildings to begin with, at least the interactions give them a bit more purpose, however I would still prefer actual lots in their place.

I would also like EA/Maxis to update at least some of the shells to be like they are in Cottage Living.

I would prefer that they don’t waste their time on adding interaction to shells we can’t enter. I think that time would be better spent on testing, fixing bugs, new animations, improving personalities, matching build/buy objects, better CAS for men, etc.

I didn't mind rabbitholes in TS3. On the contrary, it was often useful if I wasn't in the mood to control them but wanted them to do something.
The point was that my sims had things to do. I don't have to see my sims do every single thing. So rabbithole interactions on buildings would be amazing. Cinema, sport event, concert/band event, food/clothes/gadget/etc shopping, skill classes, kids entertainment center, rabbithole spa etc. So many fun possibilities.

No, no, no, no, no! TS3 was evil. They just gave rabbit holes and then added all the intractable venue items in the store. I don't want rabbit holes as a means to gameplay. Cinema and events centers should be open venues. I don't mind the rabbit hole buildings that have interaction on them that are already available in the game. It's already possible to make a bakery in the game, so I don't mind if they add the option to buy bakery goods from the bakery in cottage living. They could add the option to buy sports equipment in the stores in Mt. Komorebi near the train station since we already have that interaction in game on a vending machine. But, cinema and events center, we don't have the option to make them in game yet.

I don't actually know what this update is but updating the deco buildings with any functionality is a good thing. If you can end up with playable shells, I'd be happy. I have no issues with decorating a shell building. If we just get limited functionality, I would still play with it.
