My experiment has shown that with sims with low levels of skill (acting and required skill for the audition), the sim you follow makes much more money than the rabbithole sim. My rabbithole sim has made the lowest (or almost lowest) pay on the pay scale shown for the gig. The active job sim can make the top of the scale.
I don't yet know if high acting skill affects this.
