Must I Move My Sims Out? Please Help-- Successfully RESOLVED

I have done a lot switch while sims lived on a lot in my games without it being a problem. Unless you count forgetting to save some of the items that were on the old lot that I actually wanted to keep...but that's my fault, not the game's. It even warns you.
