My Answer To Wedding Guests Who Won't Sit
Today, I finally have achieved the goal of getting my Global Superstar wed. Those who have followed my posts on the mishaps I've had betwixed the patch for StrangerVille and this latest patch and EP, Island Living, will appreciate the very long road I have walked just to get back to where I was. I love weddings, but they stress me out in this game, as the guest are forever jumping out of their seats, or wandering between the bride and groom and sometimes they even leave during the wedding!
I thought I would simply have the couple elope in front of that wonderful new wedding arch we got with IL, but then I thought how sad and lonely, really. Erik has a very large family. His parents, four siblings, three spouse-in-laws, (youngest is still a teen), and several nieces and nephews. I didn't give his bride a family. Silly me. I may have to create them later on and give them a link, via MCCC.
However, since Erik has this wonderful family. And since he'd fallen in love at first sight with this gal, and she him, just the day before Love Day, in fact. He put things on the fast tract having gone through at least two other failed relationships. On Love Day, he proposed and the wedding was scheduled for the very next day. He wasn't going to take any chances.

This is Erik's newly built mansion. Hey, the Sim has well over a million Simoleons in the bank, why not live large? As you can see his family are busy dancing as the couple says their vows. My secret? No chairs at all. I also placed objects on both sides of the wedding arch to block them from going behind it. (Yes, I have had Sims do just that in the past.) I placed a nice stereo under the arch and turned it on low. The wedding music came up and the wedding began, this after I had the bride and groom call over the guests before they started. I have no idea if this will work a second time, or not. Feel free to give it a try and do report back, if you will. Right now I'm fresh out of available Sims.
Mind you, some of the guests were still inside, probably getting drinks from the bar in the dining room. :open_mouth:
Yes, Rock Star Erik Cantrell, fans, is OFF THE MARKET. ;) But, he still loves you all. o:)
