My First Death in Sims 4

I had just hired Blossom Greenburg as a retail employee. Evidently she was working way too hard, and her age caught up with her.

My 'Budding Barrister' sim was standing next to Grim, and I decided to have him plead for Blossom's life.

But the whole experience was quite a shock for Blossom.

Unfortunately, Blossom only lived a few more days...then she died again. ?

That's the problem with a Sim getting resurrected, of sorts. It's only for a few days. Like you suggested, just enough to get their affairs in order.

I don't stick to a save long enough to have many deaths, apart from my Westbrook save. I usually get bored with my sims way before they die.

My sims pleading to Grim has rarely worked in any of my saves. I think I may have one save that it worked, and I've played TS4 since release.

The grim reaper paid a visit to my sim self's first born son yesterday. When I switched to his house he had the enraged moodlet. I quickly used MCCC to remove the buff and his mood turned to happy again and five seconds after that he still died from a cardiac explosion!

The only death of my Sims so far happened randomly, I didn't save, so the Sim in question is still alive in my game.
Anyway, I was downloading stores, museums, and parks from the Gallery into that save file. I put a mall in one neighborhood, and sent the family that lived in the area to it, in order to check it out. All three were teens, and I was focusing on one Sim, when the Grim reaper music played. My male teen was killed by the Murphy bed, so I exited, and that saved him.

Grim reaper is really creepy tbh. When I was younger I used to avoid him at all costs. Not because I didn't want my sims to die, but because I found him so scary. :')

BTW, I assumed that Blossom died of old age, but could it have been overexertion? Does that purple-pink glow around her mean something in particular?

When I first started playing TS4 (never played any of the others), I had no idea that death was even a thing, and that I could turn aging off. When my first sim Felicia passed away from old age, I was traumatized--I was not expecting that!

I also didn't know that she was saved in my library until months later--I brought her back in one of my saves, and now she lives on in immortality because aging is turned off lol

The purple-pink glow means she's playful. Ghosts glow the emotional state they're in.

@Nate_Whiplash1 I started playing Sims with TS2. I found it much more difficult, but it had some good points. Anyway, I was still learning the game, trying to keep my sim's needs taken care of and his moods lifted, but it wasn't easy. I sent him to work one day and when he came home, he just collapsed on the sidewalk and died! (I don't think TS2 took care of needs while a sim was at work.) I couldn't believe it! His poor little cat was left all alone. Game over! ? I didn't save though. And when I restarted, I worked really hard to make sure I sent my little guy to work in better health!

I think that first experience with a sim death left me anxious about sim needs getting too low. And I got paranoid about Grim. ?
