My Game has completely reset?!

It's as if I'd just downloaded it.

I opened it up today and I'm getting tutorials pop up, all my library creations are gone (most of which I backed up) - MC command center is missing from my mods folder, my screenshots are gone - everything as if it's brand new! I haven't uninstalled or reinstalled anything!
I only played it yesterday!

Also the sims 3 has completely removed itself from my computer.

WHAT IS HAPPENING?!?! HELP!!!

Are your save game files still in your Documents -electronic arts -sims 4 -saves folder?

No - all the files in those folders are exactly as they are when you've JUST installed the game.

It's literally a brand new, freshly installed game, except I haven't done that.

All that's in the saves folder is slot_00000001.save

Try checking to see if the files are in your recycling bin.

Also, do you have much free space on your C drive?

Nothing in the recycle bin, and I've got 709GB out of 913GB free space on the C drive.

It's as if everything just reset back to square 1 I don't understand it.

I'm doing a virus scan if that helps.

All my cache files are clear too - I'd been meaning to sort it out but they're back to square 1 too.

Is the sims 4 folder linked to a back up on one drive? Try checking to see if the sims 4 folder has been backed up there.

I Don't understand what you mean by linked to a backup. I have a backup of my tray and saves on a portable hard drive. I'm just seriously concerned as to why my game has reset back to brand new overnight without me doing anything. All I've done between playing it last night and encountering this problem was I downloaded 1 house from the gallery, but I've done that before and it's never cause this to happen.
