My sim doesn’t understand how Try for Baby works...

Question

So I have a sim (female, can get pregnant) who keeps getting whims to Try for Baby with her partner (trans male, also can get pregnant). Um... does she not understand that it is actually physically impossible for them to conceive a child together? I have a feeling no one ever explained to her how babies are made...

(Before anyone says this should be posted to bug reports - I’m pretty sure this is a known issue. I’m just posting about it here because I find it funny how persistent she is in wanting to have this child. XD)

I actually don't mind when that whim comes up sometimes. While a bug, I always find it funny. Like it happens with my two guys sometimes and I have to say "No, Peter. Sakura isn't into having kids like that and your brother already went through alien pregnancies which I think traumatized your partner. Stop wishing for that." :D

What about adoptions? Would that satisfy the whim? I haven't tried it myself. One of my gay couple has adopted 2 times but I can't remember if they had that whim at those times and if the whim was satisfied by the adoption.

I think that that means she wants to have kid with him, because it's changeable in cas, if player wants.

My two married male Sims always get that whim and it makes me snicker every time.  The powers that be supposedly fixed that from happening, but alas, it has not.   Maybe it doesn't mean like making the baby themselves. Maybe it means try for adopting?  Hah...I know that might not work, but it's an interesting way to justify that whim.

Now if only there was a way to order "genetic material" online...I mean, with MCCC you could impregnate her with a male of her choice, so I guess that's close enough.
