- Hello
Repairing the game may help. To do that, go to games library in Origin, right click on the sims 4 picture and click repair
Try deleting the cache files and see if that helps

- I think there should be a cache folder in your Sims folder. Just delete the content of the folder then you’re ready to go!
- JaggidEdje7 years agoSeasoned AceThe cache folder is emptied every time you exit the game, so no need to do anything with that. The only cache file the game has which sticks around at this point is the localthumbcache.package file located in the root ..\Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 4 folder.
@SheriSim57, Try deleting that and see if it helps, don't expect it will though given what your problem is and what that file is for...pretty unrelated. Worth a shot though. If you aren't sure how to navigate to that file and delete it, let us know. - Is a vampire breaking into the lot? Or someone aging up?
- SheriSim7 years agoSeasoned AceI repaired the game and it looked like my sim could travel. Then I went to build mode to get pots to plant some flowers, took s couple of pictures, came back and tried to have my sim eat something from the fridge and the plate sits on the floor and she can’t eat. I made a new meal and all of those were on the floor and cabinets when she was done, she couldn’t eat that either. Also she can’t travel again. No vampire breaking in and no one aging up. This is my main sim and it is game breaking for me..... I haven’t been able to save in the last few days, because I don’t want to save with these problems. But I was saving when I was building on another lot, so it might not help anyway. I just bought a new (expensive) gaming laptop a few months ago so I could play this one game with all it’s expansions, game packs and stuff packs, this is so frustrating. I have yet to buy the new ‘Get Famous.’ But these last two patches don’t seem to have been good for my game. I am not good with computers, but I am going to see if I can find that localthumbcatch file and delete it. I’m not even quite sure how to find where my sims folder is, but I will give it a try.
- SheriSim7 years agoSeasoned AceAlso, I assume I need to exit the game to do the file thing?
- SheriSim7 years agoSeasoned Ace@Stormkeep after exiting my game I found my cache file and my onlinethumbnailcache file, and they were both empty. My sim was kind of twitching when I was in the game playing too... I have no idea what’s wrong.
- JaggidEdje7 years agoSeasoned Ace@SheriSim57, sounds like the sim may be glitching. I have issues once in a while where that happens and resetting the sim often fixes it. An easy way to do at least a soft reset is to go into build mode and put a piece of furniture on top of the sim... I find that quicker than having to type in cheat codes to do a reset. Maybe try that.
Another thing I do which sometimes helps is send the sim away (not travel, but like a rabbit hole interaction). I use a mod that adds those though, not sure if there even are such options in unmodded games. - Are other households in your game able to travel?
Try having your sim move to another home, and test to see if the issue remains,
