My sims are constantly in mourning ever since that patch update

Tbh I want to get rid of this feature immediately. For me it has the effect that I don't let my Sims talk to elders anymore and that I delete the elders who my Sim knows. I certainly don't want this, I want the elders to be more fun and important in the gameplay.

The only advantage of the constant mourning is that it raises the importance of the acquired traits from Parenthood. Children gain much empathy from consoling their parents, and empathic or emotionally controlled Sims can deal much better with the mourning.
