My sims are rapidly gaining weight in one day!

The opposite happened to me. My sim is losing weight very quickly.

Just to jump on topic, sort of, how badly does the "instant lean" potion from the rewards store shrink Sims?
Cause I have noticed my latest Sims getting larger too and I'll consider the reward as a possible solution, but don't want to go too much the other way.

I could be wrong but I think the instant lean potion makes your sim almost as thin as possible. Still, I could be wrong.

I think the insta-lean potion makes them too thin but I do make "Taste of Diet" ice cream which isn't too drastic. I recently revived a sim who died and she was at max body weight. I think she ate 3 bowls of ice cream to get down to a size above what her original size was. i didn't want her thin thin and the ice cream doesn't seem to make them instantly super thin.

A few runs on the treadmill or jogs help too.

I make fruit salad and garden salad in bulk and only have them eat that or quick meal (yogurt). But yeah I noticed my sims were getting a little chunky a little too fast.

My Sims gain weight SO quickly! But I have noticed that if you make healthier meals for them, they tend to not gain weight / lose weight. Combine the healthy eating with exercise (much like real life, but I wouldn't know :wink: ) and those Sims should be able to trim down a couple of inches!

After I got seasons, my sims seem to pack on the pounds at the end of the year. I always attributed it to the grand feast of both Harvestfest and Winterfest mixed the the inability to go jogging in the cold. That holiday splurge! lol! I felt it was fairly realistic. I just send them out to go jogging with their pups once it's warm and they lose the weight quickly.

The only sims that actually gain weight in my game are those who never work out. I have seen this pretty well in one of my families; the mother and one daughter would sometimes go to the gym or for a jog, but eat the same like the rest of the family, and they always stayed fit. While on the other hand, the father and the other daughter would never exercise and they slowly gained weight over time. It seems to be enough to just go for a jog from time to time, it should prevent sims from getting fat.
