My snobby sim got hurt by too many gifts???

Question

I just had an amusing thing happen in my game. I had my sim Shay's granddaughter Stella giver her 5 gifts in a row of pictures of the family that she had left somehow in the family inventory of the other household. After picture 4 or 5 the grandma Shay received a hurt sentiment towards her granddaughter! Shay is  materialistic, snob, and family-oriented. The only thing I can think of is that Shay is a snob and doesn't like the idea of so many gifts in a row?? I am really trying to figure out what was hurtful about receiving so many family pictures but it was amusing nonetheless! :)

One of the pictures was too cheap, perhaps? For the snob trait it might have registered as junk.

My family-oriented, music and dog lover sim got hurt after his daughter gave him a Winterfest present. It was holiday crafts. He just didn't like it. I've found it outrageous, but now when you mention five gifts in a row, I've remembered my sim gave the same present to her dad a day before Winterfest. So maybe sims just don't like the same presents in a row? Not only snobs. Or it's just a random thing — sim dislikes a presents, relationship drops and sentiment appears.

LOL Suffice it to say, they promised us weirder stories and on that they have delivered!
