My Successes and Failure with the New Growing Together Pack and mods.

So I have been aggressively playing the Sims 4 Growing Together since it was released. I play on PC for the record. I Have several families in several saves in different locations with different kinds of babies. Slowly but surely I was restoring my mods and CC. But, unfortunately, I had a problem with the babies ending up at the feet of the parents when they tried to put them to bed so I removed my mods folder entirely. This has given me a chance to play the game in vanilla, and I have to say I am quite surprised by how well it's been working. The parent(s) are doing a lot more of the caregiving on their own. I only seem to screw things up when my mouse directs them to do something (i.e. feed a baby) that is already in their queue. That just seems to confound them a bit. But they do seem to do a lot more on their own than they used to so I am trying not to be too intervening and see how it goes. The nannies still have some issues but I usually use the daycare anyway. The furniture all seems to be working like it's supposed to as well, even the High Chair. And they apparently fixed the t-pose issue at the hospital. I started putting mods back in again one at a time today and suddenly every time I re-enter a lot, the babies are on the floor next to the crib and not in the crib. Not sure what is causing that but It wasn't doing it in vanilla so it must be a mod, which is disappointing. Some mods are absolutely necessary to me so I hope I can figure it out. All and all I am having a lot of fun with infants and the new family dynamics. Hope everyone is enjoying the game.

  • The infants being next to the crib instead of in it is due to a reset, which yes, often happens when you add mods. It's just more noticeable with infants and cribs. Happened in Sims 2 all the time with babies as well.
