My vampire sim doesn't know he cant go outside in the sunlight

I noticed the lack of self-perseverance with vampires here. I had two NPC vampires die of sunlight while I was out in San Myshuno. Some vampires keep eating human food when hungry, even if there's plenty plasma fruit salad in the fridge. :#

Mine was preggo and went to hospital to deliver her baby. It was daylight and she burnt to death somehow...it was very tragic. :'( :s

In my game, vampires are dying left and right due to sunlight. My sim is pretty much keeping the very sad moodlet. It's got me hesitant to play any other sim because I'm afraid she may wander into the sun like the others.

When I still had my vampires living in a house, my teen vampire got home from school and never came in unless I told her to. Now I have them living in a penthouse, which fixed that problem, but brought a new one... They live in a house with quite a big terrace (I tried to cover it, but I have no idea how, I'm not a good builder in TS4). When I told her to do homework, she walked right outside to sit and do it. Which of course made her very uncomfortable. I had to stop her, make her sit on a sofa inside the apartment, and then told her to do her homework.

This is pretty annoying. I wish they made a batch that made vampires try to get and stay out of the sun autonomously.

Have your vampire started reading the vampire tomes? My vampire learned about sunlight from the tomes - maybe that's it?

Well then, thats kind of good to hear. I was starting to wonder if my sim was "less fortunate" in the iq departement :D He learned about sunlight from the computer or vampwiki, so he should be aware of it. I`m just going to put him in hybernation, like Dannydanbo suggested. Thanks guys.

I haven't had that with my Sim but a townie vampire Sim stood in the Sun until he died. Had to beg the Grim reaper who luckily agreed to give him another chance.

oh this is good to know, so I'll have to keep an eye on my vampire and make sure she doesn't end up dead by the sun!

@rosemow Is this a know bug or just part of the game?
