GAMEPLAY
Before the Wedding:
- Bach Party, Rehearsal Dinner, and Engagement Party are separate pre-events (Livestream)
In Tartosa:
From the livestream:
- City Hall for rabbit-hole weddings
- ocean beach: sun sets over it; there are glowing bioluminescent algae at night; new sand interactions: draw in sand, find message-in-a-bottle
- flower cart to buy flowers, order bouquet for wedding event; bouquet also comes in a vase to save; an also create your own if you have Flower Arranging; some bouquets require Seasons
- at clothes shop window, plan outfit for wedding

From the livestream:
- Wedding Ceremony and Reception are separate events
- Family Gathering enables a more varied gathering
- Vow Renewal appears on event list only for married Sims
Wedding Planning:
- start at computer, phone, or calendar - use calendar to plan for a later day
- select Sims of Honor, Officiant, Flower Pal, Ring Bearer in gameplay: ask a Sim in game to be SIm of Honor etc.: these go both ways - you can ask as the engaged person or you can ask the engage person if you can take one of those roles
- select particular activities from a list of available ones
- select dress code, color themes
- cake selection is made in gameplay (cook, purchase online, order at cake shop)
- select couple's outfits in planner or in gameplay
Wedding Venue: new basegame venue type
Wedding and Reception Events:
- no penalty to not do all the things you picked for your list
- can do activities that aren't listed
- gathering Sims is specific to wedding guests; they will stay seated
- clicking on aisle has options including for the Flower Pal to scatter petals, send Sims up or down, have Sims escorted down aisle
- can exchange vows with or without officiant, with or without a kiss after - outcomes vary, so it won't look the same every time
- gameplay design goal: "I want to make the player cry"

Just like your wedding, your Sim couple can plan their Engagement Party, Bach Parties and/or Rehearsal Dinner any way they want, complete with the option of toasts, speeches, food, gifts and dancing, as well as the choosing of a Sim of Honor...

If you’re celebrating a more traditional Chinese matrimony, you can start the day with a Family Gathering – the customary tea ceremony – serving refreshments to your respective families.
After slipping into your wedding attire, it’s now time to start the Wedding Ceremony. Your guests will gather together to cordially await your arrival. Once you’ve sent down your flower pal and ring bearer down the aisle, if you so choose to, then you and your partner will do the same, either alone or with someone to give you away. Vows exchanged, I Do’s certified, and the first kiss seals the deal. Congratulations, newlyweds! Let’s party!
In the Wedding Reception, you’ll have an opportunity to toss your bouquet, cut the cake with your partner, and even share your first slow dance as a married couple, complete with a rehearsed twirl-and-dip.
