There’s one YouTuber named SatiSims; they make complex high fantasy builds with lots of details. I have no idea how playable their builds are but I enjoy watching the build videos. Tbh they have so many details and often take up the entire lot which tends to be the bigger lots, so I have a feeling they’d be a pain to play in.
But, I just really enjoy the idea of having a medieval village (something SatiSims has built) and being able to live there while also having other Sims live their while also having things like a tavern or a blacksmith or a bakery or whatever other kind of communal building all on one lot.
I really like the idea of centralizing a lot of stuff into one space. But because of the way the lots and worlds are setup, I don’t know how well these things run in-game.
I don’t actually download any builds from the gallery so to an extent playability doesn’t actually matter to me. I just enjoy the creativity from non-traditional residential and community lot builds.
I've tried some of SatiSims builds. They're playable enough, but there are many annoyances. Stairs can be in weird places, there can be hidden walls or in order to get to a room, you have to walk up a flight of stairs, through a hall, down a flight and then up a different flight. They're gorgeous builds, but not always functional.
