Need Recommendation: Renovated or Rebuilt Science Lab...

When I started the Too many Toddlers scenario, I started with what it stated but then added the man whom I wanted as the father in after moving the mother and kids in the house. I just can't change the relationship status to show that he's the dad. I guess once I'm done with the scenario then I can hopefully change his status as being their father.
