I suppose in reading both these threads about negative traits, what I really mean by negative trait, Is how much of an encumbrance do I want to deal with. Sometimes in a challenge that’s kind of the point and that’s OK. Sometimes it’s more of a burden to the extent that instead of playing the story I’m sorting out a SIM. That is how I would define a negative trait. So if I’m looking for a parent I don’t want hates children or mean, If I’m starting a Sim from zero and they are going to need to do a whole lot of digging in fishing I really don’t want the squeamish trait, I have very little patience for vampires, though I do really like the build items in that pack, So a trait like vampire master would be if not useless then also kind of annoying.
So I guess negative in my world is defined by the impact on the mission
