I have it turned off for my played household, but on for everyone else. The only thing I switched off was adopting children. My game is experiencing a massive baby boom! But so far I have no deaths at all. Some sims have also gotten jobs and moved out of their homes. No one has moved into the vacated homes yet. I think the baby boom thing needs some adjustment. I'd like to have a limit that I could set (like in MCCC) where for example Sims will only have max 2 kids. Anyhow, loving the feature overall.
That's exactly why I did a shut off for a bit. The Heckings and the Goths are overloaded with kids now! lol- Perthelia3 years agoSeasoned AceI started a new save with a small rotation and got them all set up; then one of the ones I hadn't gotten to play yet adopted a toddler and had a baby, which is when I realized I had forgotten to turn NS off for my rotation households /facepalm Fortunately one of the parents has the Big Happy Family aspiration and the family oriented trait, which is probably why they got picked for more kids in the first place.
I'm letting MCCC handle random marriages but have dropped the percentage significantly.
Globally, I turned off adoptions because there were so many happening. Deaths I'm of two minds about...it allows a randomness that the game has sorely lacked, but I haven't decided yet if they're too frequent for my taste. Oh, my … - I'm getting a bit confused with my settings so just wanted to verify.
This setting means that NS are on but the family can only have a baby? In other words white is active and green is not.

It uses the same color coding as the checkmark to enable/disable everything in the top right corner. If checked, it gets a green fill, if not checked it is a white fill. "Stormkeep;c-18085227" wrote:

Oh no! I have to go back and reconfigure all my families. :| Thanks!- MVWdeZT3 years agoSeasoned AceI'm playing 10 families in rotation, with aging on long. I started out with babies, adopting cats and dogs, moving out, dying, and retiring from jobs on for unplayed Sims. I didn't have moving in, adopting children, or the other jobs checked. After getting 17 babies in 3 weeks, I decided to turn everything off except for the week that I have aging turned on for unplayed households.
And given the proliferation of babies, I might even have neighborhood stories turned on for only a couple of days then. It's been fun checking the mailbox, though. - I haven't made any significant customizations for the neighborhoods, but my played sims have everything turned off.
I don't want anything to happen to my played sims or my most important sims without me there to progress their story. Most of my sims are merfolk, and I treat them like they are immortal. I'm happy I can prevent accidents from happening. - MsDSweets3 years agoSeasoned AceGreetings - I turned all that madness OFF!!!!! :#
Because my gameplay is soo detailed, having everyone going hog wild doing their own thing is upstaging. TOO MUCH!! I knew it was going to be a problem because the system basically existed before they did the update. It is actually MCCC controls added for gameplayers who do not want to use mods and/or are console players. Its a good idea to give gameplayers the control. :) - Jyotai3 years agoSeasoned Ace

I personally filled every home in every world with premade sim families and that took way to long to do to let any of them die and get swapped with some random generated one, so sadly I can't use the death option (even though I want to), so I have every family with personalized settings.
That sounds familiar.
I'm about 2/3rds of the way to you there.
Right now I have the feature off. I do plan to turn it on for all the households I have not manually configured - for the move in and out feature only.
I'll be keeping all the life and death settings off though. And I guess I have to keep the career setting off too - which is one I was really looking forward to turning on (that said, MCCC seems to handle this one anyway, but I wanted to compare the two).
MCCC does most of what this feature does. But it doesn't let me tweak individual houses and while it will move sims into houses it doesn't tend to move them out outside of family split ups or marrying people to other households. I'd love to see a portion of the lots in my game constantly flipping who's in them.
