- Hythiescrapdash3 years agoNew AceAll my played families are off, they are immune.
Unplayed I think only moving was turned off.
But I'd forgotten about Sulani, in my current save there are no played families there. Now every family in Sulani has had multiple births and adoptions. It seems unbalanced to be honest. Even if a child had been born, suddenly a notification another had been adopted.
So remember any worlds you might not be playing and check those families you might want to play in the future. - EmmaVane3 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm really loving the Neighbhorhood Stories. I have all settings on except Move Out and Quit Job globally. I have the individual families I play turned off completely. This is such a powerful feature because just a few hours into playing with this update, I can see some new faces showing up in Manage Households. (I also apparently have a buggy piece of CC that is making kinds appear with no face...it's freaky to say the least. Lol ). Jess Sigworth has gone missing. I missed the news of what happened to her :(
Check regular notifications to see if she moved out of town or went off the grid. Culled sims leave a message that way. If sims are homeless (including by having Moved Out) and not in My Households they can be culled. - EmmaVane3 years agoSeasoned AceI have a feeling the pacing may be tied to your "Maximum Sims" setting vs your current "My Households" population.
- If there's a large gap, the game will spawn more kids/pets to get closer to the max.
- If you are close to max you might have more deaths to make space for new kids/pets.
- It's likely there's a happy balance when you have a moderate amount of leeway under the max.
- If there's a large gap, the game will spawn more kids/pets to get closer to the max.

I just had a thought. Has anyone seen sims being "moved in" to an existing household, or have move-ins just been into empty houses?
The tool-tip for Move In states that sims will move into unoccupied homes. This means homeless sims can move in to empty homes and sims in homes can move around to different empty homes. - EmmaVane3 years agoSeasoned Ace

I'm waiting for "Fall in Love" "Get Married" and "Get Divorced" options before I use it in my game. Currently it seems incomplete but so far it's looking really good, I like all the customization options.
You can still hook sims up with the advice phonecalls, etc. They don't need to be married to have kids together as the blog just mentioned "SO" - I assume any partner or higher would work for that, possibly even uncommitted lovers.
The autonomous option will likely come whenever we get a chemistry system, so they can do it in a way that makes sense. - JaggidEdje3 years agoSeasoned AceHas anyone seen if the "move in" and "move out" options together splits up households? Like when teens grow up, do they move out on their own?
I'm curious if it actually does a decent job of having a move-in feature, or if it is just a fancy shell game with sim households as the bean and homes as the shells. - babajayne3 years agoSeasoned AceImportant to note! If you do want to disable the neighborhood stories periodically like I’m doing, use the checkbox in Game Options under Gameplay to do so globally.
I just tried using the option at the top of Manage Households and it disabled them for anyone without custom settings, but those I had customized continued having updates. I’d have to open each of those households and disable them individually. So I realized it was just easier to use the big global one. - I didn't actually notice it at first, but played households are automatically off for Neighborhood Stories unless you turn the options on. I'm bad about not reading the instructions on things so I probably should have known but at least now I don't have to micromanage my older saves quite as much.
- lanlynk3 years agoLegend@EmmaVane Thanks! I should have reread the tips and guides! :# Seems like I was remembering Sims 3. Didn't other sims move in with established households every so often in that version?
- If I have don't fill empty homes as my default setting does the move in option override that?
