Yes! I guess all the game does is pick up one random sim who is in good relation with your sim and just you get the call. Not a good mechanic for sure. So I decided to post here so everyone would know and avoid ruining their game.
I would not have a problem with unplayable sim inviting me to a birthday party but for now I wont be accepting any birthday party invitations from playable sims.
Sorry, I forgot to mention that my aging option is set to Household only, and non playable sims are allowed to age. I think with Active household only chosen the game should never send invitation from playable sims
