- AncientMuse2Seasoned RookieI'll be happy and excited for this pack IF it gives us the missing build tools and items we still don't have in this game that previous iterations have had (pond tool, painting ceilings, round walls, spiral stairs, etc). If it's just a renovating/decorating career and not much else to accommodate that career...... then it could end up to be just a big fat old "meh" from me.
Looking forward to the trailer tomorrow though! Fingers crossed they flesh this career out really well and give us the proper tools and assets to utilize its full gameplay potential. Interior designer? Architect? House Flipper? Real Estate Agent? Personally speaking, I'd love the career opportunity to become a house flipper! - ck213Seasoned Scout
- Lisamango0New SpectatorIf this is just like the sims 3; interiordesigner; I CAN NOT WAIT. Architect would also be nice!! <3
I can not wait. SIMS TAKE MY MONEY AGAIN OKAYY :')
In my eyes; they did the stylist career wrong by not making it like a freelancer career where you can help other sims just like in the sims 3. Sure you can make over sims, but it's not the same, it would have been awesome with gigs, where you can go to other sims houses or they come to you! - CAPTAIN_NXR7Seasoned VeteranIf the pre-patch adds ceiling tile options I’d be so over the moon I will just buy this GP regardless of its content! ?

I have to ask, because I've seen requests for being able to paint the ceilings for ages now. I never see my ceilings in the Sims...what are you guys doing that I'm not?
I built one of my sims an old wood cabin in Granite Falls, and when she comes down to the river to fish the cabin is visible in the background. The underside of the porch roof is a startling, bright white and really looks horrible with the distressed wood on the rest of the building. - A GP with just Interior Design? I don't know if that's enough for me.
In the Sims 3 we got the interior designer job together with at least another dozen of big features for 40$ and it was still a somewhat fleshed out feature. Now just interior design for 20$? I personally don't see that being worth it. In order to make it worth it they'd have to add a loooooot more than just going to a gig, getting instructions on what to do and doing it.
It's not even enough for me if they flesh out the job a bit more like they did with spellcasters. They would have to add a looooot more features for me to even consider spending 20$ on a single active career.
I keep getting the feeling EA is cutting out features that could be in bigger packs, adding a few minor additions to them and then charging 20$ with the excuse that the feature is more fleshed-out. Ofc it's a little more fleshed-out but is it so in-depth to the point of justifying 20$, when in the past the feature was much cheaper? I don't think it will be cause spellcasters and other packs also weren't to me. "SimmerGeorge;c-17884851" wrote:

Even by the Sims 4 standards I can't see them basing a GP around one carreer path...
My guess is that this is going to be a designer career with two paths. One which incorporates Build/Buy and the other which incorporates CAS. Both paths can use the same sort of gameplay style ie find a client and meet their demands.
The Sims team tends to stick to a rule of 3 (3 magic paths, 3 active careers etc) so I predict there will be some other form of creative activity....maybe sculpting or tattoo artist?"chickenow;c-17884917" wrote:

Well that sounds a lot better though I have to say, looking at the teaser pictures it sounds very much like it's just interior design. But we'll see I guess.- Well it is just a single active career afterall so. There you go.
- I am excited and hopeful about this pack. Building is my favourite part of the game, and I hope this will bring in some new elements when building. I think having a career based on building and decorating could be a lot of fun; I can't wait!
