New Career ideas
First I'd like an Open For Business expansion, then for EA to add Therapist as a career choice. With the new emotions in the game, I think it would make for a fun career choice. What ideas for New careers do you have?

Commerce, with Corporate and Retail Branches (Nightlife/Late Night/Hot Date Expansion)
-Corporate is the typical business career that starts with secretarial work that leads into data inputting, executive management, boardmember, CEO etc
-Retail starts working in convenience stores, then grocery stores/supermarkets, working in department stores, store management then finally as a Chamber of Commerce Lobbyist (benefits include getting discouts at particular stores depending on career level, with the final position getting a big discount in all stores)
Industry, with Manufacturing and Engineering Branches (any expansion)
-Manufacturing is typical factory assembly line work, that leads into supervisory roles, management roles and trade union roles.
-Engineering is much better paid, but much harder to get promoted. Perhaps works in something like the aerospace industry.
Education, with Teaching and Coaching Branches (any expansion, but possibly a University* one as preference)
-Teaching, works in primary/elementary and secondary/high schools, starts out as aide, then teacher, department head, vice principal, then principal etc. Duties include marking papers, planning lessons, and practising experiments.
-Coaching starts with PE teacher, then leads into High School Team coaching, then college team coaching, can "bombard" people as in interaction by throwing dodgeballs at them.
Science, with Academia and Big Pharma branches (University Expansion*)
-Academia is scientific research based primarily at a university, as well as roles that involve university level teaching, project leading, then faculty head and eventually leads to University Dean.
-Big Pharma is working at a private pharmaceutical company (let's call it Parasol), starting with research assistant then leads to project leading, then more executive roles, though better paid than the Academia branch, sims in this branch have a small chance of bringing home a lethal disease.
Historian, with Scholar and Archaeologist branches (University Expansion*)
-Scholar is similar to Academic from the Science career, but based at a Museum instead, starting with Museum Tour Guide, preservationist, restorer, going through Exhibit Curator, and eventually leading to Museum Director. Can explain objects to visitors at the museum.
-Archaeologist is similar to the above, but with field work, starting with trench digger, sifter, carbon dater, excavation leader and eventually becoming Tomb Raider of the Lost Uncharted Arks. Can excavate sites for unique treasures that can be displayed or sold or donated to a museum.
Healthcare, with Medical and Psychiatry branches (University Expansion*)
-Medical is hospital work starting out with the usual Intern, Residency, Attending etc roles, eventually leading to Chief of Staff.
-Psychiatry starts with hospital work, then in to private practice, then a celebrity radio psychiatrist before becoming a leading name in the field, can analyse sims, hypnotise, and blame every bad thing a sim does is because they desire their mother.
Airline, with Pilot and Flight Attendant branches (Vacation expansion)
-Pilot starts with small aircraft/bush piloting, then cargo piloting, co pilot, pilot, then Sky Captain
-Flight Attending starts with short haul flights, long haul economy, long haul first class, purser then Face of the Airline, has option to cook and serve airline food, and locate sims to the emergency exits of their homes.
-Both careers when they reach the long haul levels, instead of having multiple shifts a week, have one or two incredibly long shifts a week (perhaps lasting even more than a day in some cases). Both careers receive discounted, then eventually free travel to all vacation destinations for them and other sims in the household.
Law, with Order and Corporate Law branches (University expansion*)
-After working as Legal Aid, Order involves working as a prosecutor, leading to district attorney, then to local, regional and national level judging.
-Corporate Law is working at a Law Firm starting as a Junior, eventually leading into Junior Partner, then Senior Partner etc.
Property, with Real Estate and Developer branches (any expansion)
-After working as a Hired Prospective Buyer, becomes a Shack Salesman/woman, leading to selling better quality houses eventually selling mansions to the Uber Wealthy. Sims in this career must defend their territory from others in the career, through billboard and and advertising campaigns, and fight with others in the career, because of course, the West Side is their territory (even if they are on the East side), as well as boosting daily earning by going to work with a party serving of baked goods in the inventory. Have the benefit of selling their own house for a lot more, and buying new houses for a lot loss, the percentage increasing the higher their career level.
-Developer, starts working with single properties until becoming a Suburban Tract Builder and Head of the developing firm. Can buy community lots at a cheaper price, profits from lots increased, and can build at a cheaper price (both at home and on community lots).
Professional Athletics, with Baseball and Ice Hockey Branches (any expansion)
-Both careers start in the minors, before becoming Rookie, starter MVP, EA Sports Game Cover, etc, the difference is based on how they are promoted, requiring different skills and practising (using a batting cage for baseball, and ice rink/pond for skating for hockey)
-The Major League Team for Baseball is the Llamas, while the Major League Team for hockey is the Flamingoes (based on the Neon Flamingo sign from TS1).
*University careers require the relevant degree and start at level 1 no matter what.
I like these. For Athletics, I'd divide them to Sport Star and Sportscaster. Both would have to start as players.
