I think it would work similar to Cottage Living, where money is made through animals/produce.
Sheep = Wool
Goats = Milk
Horses = Competition cash prizes. Breeding, training and selling horses. One of the horses in Behind the Sims showed a value of 12k during the Sim Profile wireframe mock-up.
I'd like a Ranch Hand part-time job, but they haven't done this with other NPC jobs, so doubt they would start now.
Maybe there will be an Errands system for cash and loot, like Cottage Living?
