Hoping for a new woohoo spot as well.

Woohoo where though? Based on the concept it would be interesting to find out. Sims 4 lacks woohoo spots compared to even Sims 2.

      Sleeping Bags.

I can't begin to comprehend where two sims can fit into a sleeping bag? It's gotta be a very big one. Also they are super hot. Woohooing in one irl is probably really uncomfortable.

I want to create a basecamp for my explorer sims, they don't stay in rented houses, they rough it in tents.

OR gave us a wandering "bear", I wonder if we will get a wandering critter of some kind in JA.

Then make a rental lot a camp lot.

The base camp lots in TS3 were also shared with other Sims and the lots were not editable as they were a public lot.
      And they were houses.

That is my plan. In fact, I have begun but am waiting for the GP to add anything from it that I need, like the archeology table.

Al Simhara was a tent site hostel where your sim slept and ate.

Ugh those really bad looking tents, lol don’t even remind me

Yeah...the tents in WA were a bit awkward looking. Even the bigger ones were.

i'd like them to have more than just 'ooh, that looks neat'. which, admittedly, pufferfish ghosts do (as do sunlight ghosts). they just lack the minor gameplay options the earlier death types give their ghosts. the emotional ones occasionally radiate an aura of their death emotion, electrocution ghosts can 'possess to break' and 'ghostly repair' electronic devices (while all other ghost types can just do it with plumbing), cowplant ghosts can invigorate or kill harvestable plants based on their moods, drowning ghosts leave (irksome) puddles everywhere while sauna ghosts can soak up puddles. they're all nice flavor for the death type. i'd like to see that return...

spent entirely too long poking around with a pufferfish ghost to see if they had anything water or fishing or even just fish related in any moods. but, alas, nothing... similar with sunlight, though again, those are already vampires so it'd possibly be a bit much to add more than just the standard ghost stuff to them

It's like they start with good ideas but don't follow through with them. The CLUB system was supposed to change the game forever, but they have failed miserably to add new club groups into the mix. No dog lover or cat lover clubs? Really?

This I totally agree with. I don't get why bubble blowing and walking or training dogs (among probably many other things) aren't club features either. It seems like a pretty glaring omission xD

I'm sure they are adding "traits" to pick from but without new symbols to add to the mix, we'll be using the same symbols over and over and some may not fit the club. It's possible that you could wind up having several clubs all with the same symbol because they aren't adding any new ones.

I don't care about the club symbol, my point is that these were never added as club activities to begin with xD
    • I really dont like it. I think they should do more stuff/game/expansion packs that I'll actually use in my gameplay. They keep making these very 'unique' packs, but they're something I'll never use! I know some people might enjoy a different kind of gaming experience, but something I'd probably use once or twice for 20€ is not worth it at all to me. The packs that were everyday game related are the best to a lot of people, so I think they should do more of those packs (not saying every pack should be like that, but right now most of the packs are). Only packs I actually use are Laundry Day, Parenthood and Cats and Dogs. So no, I wont be buying this one.
    • I can see myself using a lot of the furniture in this pack, and sending my sims to Selvadorada just for a quick getaway without any adventuring. So I think that in addition to adventuring, some parts of the pack can still be used for mundane purposes. :)

Some of the CAS looks like it'll coordinate well with some of the content from the Day of the Dead pack. And I plan on trying to build a Mexican/Selvadoradan restaurant somewhere in one of my worlds (combining the Mexican dishes from CL with the new ones from JA). I love the freestanding fireplace and plan to build a courtyard outside the restaurant where my Sims can get drinks then sit around the fireplace and chat. And remember there's the second Cultural aspiration so maybe you can work on that without any tomb diving.

      (sorry, tents again)

Basecamp lots are editable. As you can see I added the University bonfire.
