A life and death expansion pack!? Finally! Been waiting for this one since that poll we got all those years ago. Also loving the tarot card motif. Maybe hinting at a proper fortune teller career?

The timing of this new Expansion Pack release is a bit unusual, especially coming so soon after the last one. There was a 7-and-a-half-month gap between For Rent (December 7th) and Lovestruck (July 25th), but only 3 months between Lovestruck and Life & Death. Not that I'm complaining—having two EPs in 2024 aligns with the typical release pattern for TS4. Just thought it was worth pointing out this oddity.

That said, I’m excited to learn more about Life & Death since it’s a fresh theme for the franchise. Hopefully, it’ll be packed with content, as the last three EPs have been a bit light in that area. While I’ve enjoyed what we got, we have to admit that the more recent packs haven’t been as substantial as those from the early days of TS4.

Also, I’m happy the roadmap actually gives us a clear idea of what's coming instead of leaving us to speculate for months! 😆

And RIP (pun intended) Game Packs, I guess?

I really hope we get a fortune teller with this new EP. This roadmap looks promising for occult players!

I hope everyone who has been hoping for a death-themed EP gets what they want and that it has a lot of gameplay content and not just another smallish pretty world with lots of scenery and rabbit holes. I also hope that they take the chance to update GrT milestones to add more that has to do with death and birth - the birth of a sibling, the death of a close friend/partner/sibling/parent/child... there are so many of those that would make milestones more important. Now we only have "had a child" and "was widowed". 

I also hope they add really good funerals (I could have used that this week) and take the opportunity to update ghost with their own needs and let us make them in CAS. It would also be a great opportunity to add more historic clothing (for all these new ghosts), and possibly some more historic furniture as well. 

The Storybook Nursery kit and the Artist Studio kit sound great 🙂

The road map has an interesting vibe. I am still not convinced about a grim reaper pack. But maybe the life part in 'life and death' can offer something for my sims. A fortune telling career would be interesting.

Unfortunately another timed event as well to pressure simmers through fomo to play even when they can't due to real life. It was events like these that made me stop sims freeplay. I thought I would be spared of these tactics in a game I invest (a lot) money in 

I’m really interested in both the kits. And I’m intrigued by the EP, though I don’t like the tarot stuff. I also really like that we’ve been given the actual titles of the packs as well as release dates, and even the date of the trailer for the EP! I love that I know what to look forward to when 🙂
