New sim traits with Horse Ranch

So we get two new sim traits, Rancher and Horse lover.

The latter being a Social trait made me a bit "huh?". I can get that horse and owner bonds as friendship is very important, but that goes for Dogs as well! Why are Horse lover trait not in the Lifestyle group as Dog lover trait, or Animal lover trait in general, for that matter? Maybe there is an explanation to it that I missed. Did anyone notice why?

The whole trait categories get reorganized it seems. For example, lifestyle traits like Clumsy, Childish, Ambitious, and Erratic are now emotional traits while Active trait goes into lifestyle category, and Snob trait goes from Lifestyle to Social.
Oh, and Perfectionist is moved into lifestyle. And Loves Outdoors is gone from lifestyle.

So, base game traits after reorganization look like this:
    Spoiler
    Emotional
    • Ambitious
    • Cheerful
    • Childish
    • Clumsy
    • Creative
    • Erratic
    • Genius
    • Gloomy
    • Goofball
    • Hot-Headed
    • Romantic
    • Self-Assured

Hobby (while this one wasn't shown in the livestream, all the other categories were, thus all that weren't seen are here)
    • Art Lover
    • Bookworm
    • Foodie
    • Geek
    • Loves Outdoors
    • Music Lover

    Lifestyle
    • Active
    • Glutton
    • Kleptomaniac
    • Lazy
    • Materialistic
    • Neat
    • Perfectionist
    • Slob
    • Vegetarian

    Social
    • Bro
    • Evil
    • Family-Oriented
    • Good
    • Hates Children
    • Jealous
    • Loner
    • Loyal
    • Mean
    • Noncommittal
    • Outgoing
    • Snob
  • Oh no!!! My online residents registry will explode with this need of script corrections! I hate thinking of it, but having my own (the old) categories will just be even more trouble for me in the long run.

I applaud most of those adjustments, though. I see that several that I questioned in the past are now more logical. Thanks for sharing :)

Indeed... Though these are only base game, so no info on DLC traits. I'm guessing Cat and Dog Lover go under social too...

I somewhat agree as Lifestyle has a lot of traits compared to others... But I don't get why Clumsy for example is an emotional trait though...
  • I guess a Practical group would have made sense, especially with Emotional and Social. Both Hobby and Lifestyle has sounded a bit different, but no big deal. The traits themselves are what counts more.
