Then there's Grant saying the following:

This, combined with everything else you've pointed out, sounds like a reference to reptilian aliens.

To be honest, I actually don't think that's... too much of a stretch. If I'm right that there's a reptilian theme here, maybe the "mother" is some large red dragon that crashed and she has an effect on nearby Sims when they consume... some fruit? And then with the military, they're involved somehow since the dragon could be a threat. Finally, dragons were in the Sims 3, although they were quite small.

It's a bit of a stretch, but I'd sooner think that than think it's some of the many claims folks are making, that it's Witches, zombies (which has been disproven), and University.

Maybe like in the movie Aliens only instead of being impregnated with one of those little aliens they accidentally eat some type of 'strange' fruit which causes them to be infected. Or maybe the fruit is for curing them. And the soldiers have to go in and rescue them like Ripley did. Just thinking out loud here. :p

It's pretty obvious that it's going to be something about Strangetown (at least I hope so at this point) and they've already confirmed it's not about zombies and also not about aliens? I was expecting aliens from Strangetown but they said something along the lines of "you can already find aliens in Get To Work" so now I'm really curious to know what they came up with. Can't wait!
