New World Plot Sizes - Are you kidding me!?!?!?

Why on earth have the new world's largest plot sizes occupied by a family? Seriously? Cottage Living has a single 64 x 64 plot, and the Watson family owns it. Tartosa has a single 50 x 50 plot and ...

I take the consolidation approach of moving the family in a lot I want into one with enough room. I don't play those households anyway, so who cares if a house for 2 has 8 in it.
