Newest patch hinting at beach world?

Man, gotta love that Sims music!! I hope whenever a beach pack and/or a snowy slopes pack comes they do some Simlish songs that are as kickin' as this one! It would be so cool if the Sims could sing this song like they do Mayzie Craybo.

Yes, I highly doubt it's any sort of beach pack. It is more than likely a different theme than recently. You got Jungle Adventures (jungle) and C&D is a waterfront town, so, seems like it would be more to do with activity next time such as school, and or something not having to do with any world such as another occult or traveling/time travel> possible road trip.

I have a few things in mind that make me think a beach pack is next:

• The list of demands is huge, so I don't think it's a stroke of genius to throw something random and not address the most requested things. They've been doing this the past two years (?) with toddlers, pets, vampires, seasons and a mini World Adventures out of the way.
  
• We just got an EP in June, so I don't think university is coming anytime soon.
  
• Same goes for Witches/fairies/werewolves on the list of demands, but I don't think they've had enough time to develop any seeing as SimGuruGrant did a poll on supernaturals after Seasons was released. Maybe enough time has passed for them to have developed witches, but I doubt it.
  
• Beaches would make sense after Seasons since they would kind of complete summer in the game
  

All this being said, they could very well be working on new animals for a farm or safari pack since it's been a while since we got Pets. So I'm just speculating here!

Actually that is also what the devs said. They indicated they have more things like that and the Dwali stuff and more planned with other cultures as we go along. They said they want all simmers to feel their people and culture are represented in this game.

I really hope they do a Celtic update/pack. I'm of Irish decent (although, my Nan's English and my mum was part Aboriginal - she died when I was about 6).

But the point of adding new cultures etc is to represent the different players that play the game NOW - not cultures in history. That is a totally different thing. Maybe if they ever did time travel back in time they might cover those kinds of clothing and ancient cultures. Let's face it people playing this game most likely are not out there wearing Celtic garb etc - and that is the point of adding Caribbean culture and the festival of light of the people from India,rhe day of the Dead of Mexico, etc as these people need representation of who they are now while playing this game - it has nothing to do with history for the clothing, hairs, recipes, and furnishings etc. Also from my understanding they will all be free - and not in any pack - for the players of this game so all actual players of the Sims 4 can be represented in the game.

Speak for yourself why don't you.

Why is it always a controversy when people from the UK/Ireland suggest they want to be represented.

I just want a more UK themed world in general. (We're a small Island surrounded by ocean, we have alot of beaches :)

I have travelled abroad alot and whilst it was nice, New Quay will always be my favourite place to go on holiday. I think The Sims team would do well to make some UK styled beaches, everyone thinks we're a dreary rainy place with nothing to offer and they couldn't be further from the truth.

They could even make a seaside town full of amusement arcades and a pier. It'd be so cool and different to what we usually get.

Very pretty. I like the rows of buildings up the hillside. I also like the little village in the BBC show Doc Martin, Portwenn. That would make a good world to explore.

The idea of someone mocking a beach made me chuckle :lol:

I agree it would be really nice to have both: a small residential town with a beach with lush landscapes, and a touristic beach strip with hotel/apartments towers and restaurants (Rio style).

How about a Los Angeles based world? We have San Myshuno but that's more like San Francisco. Los Angeles type would be good for a superstar EP. You could sell maps for a living!

Actually it does not matter what is in a patch seeing free content devs never has anything to do with the making of the packs. They are their own team.

It would in fact be the same issue people make of an sp being made for an ep and seems rather unwelcomed in many areas of the Simmers that play the game. I find it odd when My First Pet was put down for being made and including some content in that pack for the Cats and Dog pack - yet the Caribbean Free content is considered a go with hint for a beach world? That is conflicting logic in my view. Either people want dlc for other dlc - or they don't.

Never mind the fact it was stated the Caribbean was akin to the cultural free content like the Diwali free content was. Which to me has nothing to do with a beach - but the people of the Caribbean. So if one should expect a beach world - then we should have also expected a world from India perhaps as well. Shouldn't we?

Don't get me wrong I would love a Beach world - tropical Island or non-tropical island anywhere known for it's wonderful beaches and water activities for a Sims vacation as much as anyone. Hawaii or Riviera and so many others spins to mind. Lord know our Earth has some amazing and beautiful beaches all over this planet and I for one would be thrilled with any one - I just can't see every bit of free cultural content being a hint of a pack - but perhaps it should be viewed simply as a wonderful stand alone bonus to help us know a little more about each other - after all Simmers - we all come from everywhere on this planet and it should be embraced for that - and enjoyed for what it is as offered.

I would love to get more cultural free mini packs like that - as I would love to know more about the places and people who also love these Sims games just like I do. Also not unusual those of us here that are from the States - the majority of us are not American Indian - so therefore we all have our ancestry in many, many other countries - perhaps we will learn a little about our own histories and cultures as well that our own ancesters live.

Just a thought - or in my case a bunch of thoughts I wanted to share.
