- The only occult that would require a different world that can only be accessed by them are Fairies.
Either with the Sims 3 route of shrinking them or some mystic fae transport.
As fun as Werewolves would be they have the same problem as Horse and Unicorns.
IE there is no space for them to do Werewolf things and they don't really work in other worlds.
Vampires and Spellcasters do because Spellcasters are well Spellcasters and Vampires have the option to break
into existing houses and feed on Plasma. Something all Sims have. Werewolves would do what exactly?
They only worked in Sims 3 because it was an open world and they re-introduced Vampires to be their enemy.
But Idk if you've noticed, Maxis is no longer in the business of redoing released content or making new things work well with old.. for free. - Hoping for more info tomorrow! The last teaser for bunk beds was on Monday 3/15. Then Inside Maxis was announced on Monday 3/22 for a livestream on Tuesday 3/23.

I have. Remember George's the guru who's been sharing baby pictures all year long last year?
That's right. I can even guess its name. It's what literally everybody wants:
BABY LIFESTYLE.
@CAPTAIN_NXR7 There would be such an outrage if they released babies as DLC.- SimburianNew Traveler

If it was something to do with babies they would probably come in a patch but also included in a new pack with lots more to do with them. I wouldn't worry about that. - The Sims 4 is in desperate need of a Generations pack. We've had almost 0 family gameplay packs (Parenthood was for parents, not generations). The Sims is a life simulation game, and yet it is so lacking in real life simulation elements.
I'd be totes down for more occults AFTER a Generations-type pack, simply because the game is in need of it. It would help improve the core of the game, which is what TS4 really needs. Adding more occults before doing something to the core game would just follow the same pattern of adding more fancy decorations onto an unstable foundation like the recent packs have done.
As for the future expansion back, I highly highly doubt it, but I really hope it's a pack that impacts the whole game and isn't narrowed down and seclusive like lots of others have been. Take Seasons. Seasons affected every world, the entire game. Expansion packs shouldn't be so specific that they only affect 1 singular world to the majority -> it should expand the whole game and every world. It should expand the game. It shouldn't be just a new world with special elements that you can only do in that particular world. Again, it should affect every world. A Generations-type pack would affect the entire game because it would affects the sims and the life stages.
I just... I'd be disappointed if it was just another occult pack before Generations, but then again, I have only ever been disappointed by TS4 since... ever, anyway. Only reason I still play it is because of mods... "Bluelle;c-17865566" wrote:

Thank you for this. I totally agree with you."Bluelle;c-17865566" wrote:

@Bluelle But that's exactly my arguement against a Generations pack. If a pack like this has features so important to the core of the game, why isn't it in the base game. DLC is supposed to expand the game in different directions, not improve its core. That's the base game's job. And I personally do not think it's okay to pay more for something so crucial to a life simulation game. That's what I thought with the Sims 3 Generations as well.
If we start relying on DLC to make the life stages fleshed out and fun, which are one of the most important base game features, then I think we're missing the point.
I personally don't want free babies, more activities for kids and teens and improved life states in a DLC. At least this to me is a feature the base game should cover. Just my opinion really.- catloverplayerSeasoned AceI'm hoping Generations or a Romantic Getaway gets teased Tomorrow.
- I think it will be fairies or an active school pack.
- Wasn't there a thread specifically made for you all to argue and debate about whether the game needs more occult stuff vs. family stuff?
I hope you all know that it's possible to express your hopes for what the new expansion pack will be without putting down another genre of packs that others might hope for also.
