No hate, but how can a game from 2014 have such terrible AI?

I just watched my simbot run a bath and then SIT in the bath until it broke down. Then jumped out of the bath once they were good and busted. I think they did it because they were tense and tense moods sometimes trigger regular sims to a bubble bath to relax, however a simbot shouldn't be choosing a water filled bath to relieve that! Needless to say I left it broken to die for being so incredibly daft.
