No modeling career in Get Famous?

I want it to be more in-depth than clicking three buttons in random order.

I guess I’m a little anxious we may not get a fashion pack, depending on how the three years go. There are so many other packs many simmers want, so it may take time for a fashion kind of pack to pop up. (Maybe a Game Pack one day?)

I do miss the fashion catwalk/walkway, so I hope that comes to Sims 4, if they ever do an actual fashion cereer pack. And I hope we finally get a sewing machine! :blush:

My fashionista-type Sim will settle for the stylist or trend setter career for now, I guess. :smile:

Remember back a little when Grant said the they have three more years to go in S4? Well, now he's saying things like "you think it's only three years" when responding to that three year comment.

So, I'm thinking that we are giving them lots of great ideas that they want to tackle like an Education pack instead of or in addition to a University pack. So, why not a SINGING/BAND pack and a FASHION pack to thoroughly flesh out the two careers that players still want?

so you would like them to create separate expansion packs for everything?

Plus there is no guarantee at all they will make singing and modeling in a different pack. Sure, they can do that, but who says they ARE going to do that? I mean if they don't do it, we will not get it at all since it is not in this EP.

I mean, 3 years seems really long, but they will not be pumping out GP's and EP's like clockwork in the remaining 3 years. They still have choices to make which content they are going to make packs for.

The community wants so much stuff that it's nearly impossible to cover everything in 3 years, so yes, some stuff we will just never get.

I really hope we do have enough time to address the many content people want. I guess it’s me being a little anxious about missed opportunities. I don’t know when the devs will ever go back to the fashion thing after their stylist update and such.

Hopefully I don’t have to wait too long.

But! Yeah, I can totally be easily appeased if/when I get other stuff that I would really like, like romance content, Generations content, witches, fairies, Education content, island/beach content and mermaids, etc, haha. :wink: :smile:

I understand why the devs did it, but it’s still a bit of a let down because now I have to wait for them to revisit this kind of thing.

The company’s probably going to do University stuff next, which is usually not really my thing in past Sims games. This fame pack seemed like it would be the opportunity to address multiple famous careers of Superstar, but it’s not.

So now I have to see if I want to pay the game full price or wait for a sale, since my high initial enthusiasm for a fame star pack was was dampered quite a bit by this.

So now I’m back to the waiting game, lol. :sweat_smile: I’m going to wait for more info about the pack.

Did you actually play the modeling career - it was the worse thing in superstar really. The high fashion clothes were really freaky and nothing my sims would ever own. Look like jetson clothing if you ask me and the cat walk was always a failure. My sims models really stunk at walking right on those things and never rose worth a darn in those careers. Recording and soap opera performers were the only thing that hardly every went up in stars and you only gained one point of a star each day you performed decently. Really the only fun was the singing career and it was rather grueling if one did not use cheats of some kind. Even I used super coffee treats and cheats to use the star trailer to stay on the lots to get any where. That game was next to impossible with out cheats - and I do pray it not that hard where time is a big enemy of the game and the players.

But High fashion - I am relieved someone else is handling that and not really in this ep if it is anything at all like that was in Superstar - I am stoked by the acting and all they cover, not just the same grueling hospital scene every day- looks way more interesting and vast compared to Superstar. Can't wait to see all of it including the free career info to come but definitely buying - I have seen enough to know it is superstar even better. TO ME. Keep that in mine - I say to me. You very well are not asked to agree. It is MY OWN opinion and all I need to see Got that? Don't agree if you don't. That is fine with me.

Well lets put it this way when Lady Gaga came out in her stage performances in real life - I had one though she obviously played Sims 1 super star high fashion model career as a little girl. What else could explain those clothes?

I have two cousins (my second cousin and now her young teen daughter) who are real high fashion models - they don't dress like that. They are classy and highly though of - not all dress as quirky as some of the insane fashion shows. Obviously Lady Gaga Used to love that kind of thing - but even she has pretty much left all that stuff out if her much younger days for true high respectable fashion now a days. I am actually now a fan of Lady Gaga - her fashion sense is much more glamorous and she looks far lovelier if you ask me - but before the last few years was not always interested in seeing her performances.. I do love her music. She does sometimes get a tough quirky on stage but personal appearance have been glamorous and lovely lady she really is. Plan to see her movie too, just to add - when I can buy it on DVD. I unfortunately cannot go to movie theaters so I buy it and watch it on my big wide screen tv. I have surround sound so almost as good. Bradley Cooper - sigh, love him too. LOL. But of course this hs little to do with the pack and more my sort of take on how improved I see this pack compared to the original superstar and I loved that one. I know I will love this one more. It looks more real and like things really are - of course that is in the eyes if the beholder and that's how I see it.

Yeah, there is a type of fashion called avant grade as well, which is where the weird fashion usually was. Fashion is NOT always normal or wearable. Some fashion are more like art pieces than practical or fictional designs, and some fashion designers are more about making a statement.

Edited to add: Oh, and haute couture is another fashion type that can get a bit weird sometimes as well.

Yeah, well, I hope a variety of fashion/clothing types are represented, then. Not everyone is going to have the same tastes, so... yeah.

I want varied clothing styles like punk, emo, goth, Gothic Lolita (like in Sims 3), streetwear, grunge, etc.

Still wishing for a modeling or a fashion career. I’ll have to put it on my wishlist (of what content I would like to see in Sims 4), heh. :smile:

Because it is going to take 10 years to finish this game. :'( The long periods of silence from them is torture for me. :'( I don't want 6 more years of this. I don't. :( If they were more open about what they are working on like previous games this would make things a lot easier to deal with.

Though I agree the games should be more fleshed out. I completely agree, but 8 or 10 years is too long to be waiting for a game to be completed, little by little, especially without communication on what is being worked on.
