It's been awhile since I've played and it seems there's no longer a Haunted option for lot traits??? I also seem to remember an alternate haunted option for the Paranormal pack which I have and it's installed since the furniture is there. Any info or ideas appreciated!
Haunted House is a lot type, not a lot trait. So you need to change the lot type from residential to haunted house for it to work.
I seem to recall that the ghosts from Paranormal are completely different from the Sim ghosts you could get from the original haunted lot trait.
As you can see, the old Haunted lot trait seems to be missing and this is true if the lot is set to Haunted or regular residential. So I am curious if it's no longer possible to get the old option that gave you the regular Sim ghosts.

When Paranormal came out and they added the Haunted lot type, they changed what was the "haunted" lot trait to the "spooky" lot challenge. Look under lot challenges.
As the others said, the haunted trait IS still in the game.
It’s just been renamed to Spooky, and is now classified as a lot challenge, rather than a regular trait.
I just checked and i have it under lot challenges called 'spookie'
