No more townies?
Is there a mod or mods that completely prevents the game from generating new sims? Like none at all? If so, could you let me know as I’ve recently had a disaster!

There are a few mods that I know of.
MC Command Center, MC Settings, set Population_Percent to 0 (for all lifestages). I have had mixed results with this. Their discord can help you out if you need help.
townieoverhaul_less fame by Bienchen. I have used this one in the past, it caused me some last exceptions sometimes but it should work okay now from what I know.
NPC Control by Paulson. One of the better ones, works really well, the issue is that the creator does not update his public version. The public version seems to work fine, but it's from March.
