No one in this household is having a birthday...

I think there's a slight inconsistency here. While you can age up a sim using a birthday cake, you can't give them a birthday party, if that's not really their birthday. That was a huge disappointment...

I tried to choose a birthday party, but it wouldn't let me go forward to invite guests. Instead it said something like "no-one in this household is having a birthday". Only, when I changed into a house party, was I able to continue.
