I don't think they meant to make it finnish at all tbh
its just accidentally very similar vibe
cause our cities are like half modern half borrowing architecture from our neighbors
mixed with construction sites everywhere and the town feeling so quiet with no sims around 😂- SEREFRAS2 days agoLegend
I love beautiful European Worlds. Nord Haven feels like a small version of Windenburg.😍

I agree with you from the videos I have watched the world looks empty. I love San myschuno and it never looks empty because the livable area is small. Same with the base game worlds. I wish they went back to that.

I think the world is one of the better looking ones that we have gotten lately. It looks Scandinavian and there is a nice mix of both old and new looking houses. They also have some classic red looking houses on an island. The red houses are common here in Sweden.
Build/Buy features some interesting roofs which makes you able to create some older looking houses and I can see that they have some of those around the marketplace which is not uncommon as we often have older looking houses around marketplaces or closer to the sea, often old state houses.
They got the trees mostly right although the marketplace has some decorative ferns which I think are standing out a bit. They did place cars and bikes around the world and on parking spaces but the cars don't really look european (although the signs do) , we have a lot of SUVs, station wagons and hatchbacks here. There is a focus on biking though with you being able to collect bike parts around the world which seem to have classic nordic names which is a nice touch.
I think the world is a bit too big which makes it look empty, I don't really think they needed to make a big decorative park with sculptures and benches (not an actual lot) but they did do a good job of placing things around in the rest of the world that sims seem to use. No rabbit holes (looking at you Tomarang) but actual interactive items which I like.
It looks nice, but I wish it was more like Ravenwood with an urban area, a suburban area, and a special area, depending on the theme. I know this isn't where I should put this, but I think after L&D, they knew exactly how much to put in an EP with build mode, cas, gameplay, and the world. This pack has the perfect amount of items in my opinion, two full window sets, skill items but it does need a kitchen set and more beds but hope this is the start of a long line of amazing eps.

My first initial reaction was a mix of Nyhavn in Copenhagen and Amsterdam.
Never been to Norway or Finland so don't know about those, but it vibes of old part of cities from both Sweden and Denmark.

Has anyone found a good world tour video?
Kinda uninspired by this one to be honest, kinda giving Bjergsens 🤔
but I made build thread for it so hopefully someone has great ideas for these lots 😄

I'm glad that most lots are small though since most nordic homes are and it also makes the businesses easier to navigate
maybe I'll build Ikea of death on the biggest lot and trap all the undoubtedly cheerful sims in there 😇- sailorleontine23 days agoSeasoned Ace
i feel like it's a scandinavian countries with a tiny little bit from Finland and The Netherlands but that's my opinion
