We all need a bit of humor during this difficult time. There is nothing wrong with setting aside our worry and feelings of being helpless, to remember to laugh, and find humor in the little things. Being stressed 24/7 won't make any of this go away. Stay in touch with the people you care about through texts, emails or phone calls. Watch the news but don't become obsessed, afraid you might miss something important. We watch the morning and evening newscasts, then turn off the TV to play games or we find a funny movie to watch. The federal, state and local governments, local law enforcement, healthcare workers, doctors, charity organizations and churches have all banded together to get us through this. Some of the most brilliant minds in the medical field are working tirelessly to find a solution. We need to trust them. And once one lets go of the worry, the anger, the loneliness because we are separated from the ones we love, and the fear, we come to realize it could be much worse in so many ways. If everyone stays home and leaves to take care of the essentials only, we will see a decline in new cases being reported. We are not helpless. We have the power to slow down the spread of this virus if we stay strong and focused on doing the right things to protect ourselves, our families and our neighbors.
@Admiral8Q I will keep your mom in my prayers and wish her a speedy recovery.
