Hi BylineBelife
Just thought I'd come by and check out your thread. Sims 3 was the first game I played back in 2011 when my husband introduced me to the game. Spent many hours and days playing and writing stories about my legacy families. The stories are all still on my old Word Press page that are now 'read' only but you can check them out if you wish.
One of my favorite households to play was the Funke family from household tray in Edit Town. Carol was my favorite as she loved music and made friends with everyone she met. I ended up playing her in Bridgeport where she became Leader of the Free World, fell in love with Romeo Rake as an elder but two days after she moved in with him, he passed away of old age. Carol was a fun Sim and while playing her, you never knew what she was going to do whether it was to haul out her sleeping bag and go to sleep in a nightclub or even in her apartment living room. She almost had the vibe of being able to tell me what she was thinking and wanting. If there was a Sim who could talk to their player, Carol was the one.
Maybe sometime, I'll take a break from Sims 4 and play Sims 3 again for awhile but will have to uninstall one to play the other as there's not enough room for both on my current laptop.
Here is the link to my old Sims 3 stories that you can read if desired.

I just found my Sims 3 WordPress page from 2021 with the stories from that time. The Bunch family became prominent back then when Darlene Bunch married Spencer Funke the second time I played the family. Here is the link to that page. The family was played to generation 5 with both Spencer and his sister Irene who moved to Bridgeport after growing up with her adopted son. I also played the Williams family back then.
Here's the link to that page. Thanks for bringing back memories of my old story writing days that I'm starting to get back into with my three new forum threads for my current Sims 4 game saves.
Have a great weekend and it was nice to meet you,
