Not Wanting Sims 5 Because Spent Money On Packs

I've seen a few people say that they don't want sims 5 because they spent money on packs. I can't seem to wrap my head around this logic. Can someone who thinks this way explain? The Sims games won't...

They just don't want development on TS4 to stop. If that happens, they either have to stick to a game that no longer gets updates or new content, or move on to a new base game that'll take years before staple DLC features such as pets and seasons arrive.

I guess it might also be a consequence of TS4 still feeling unfinished after being out for 6 years. Players are still requesting items and features that were already available in previous iterations by their 5th year.
