My actor sim was playing a scene where the cowboy sheriff is supposed to slide open the jail cell and lock up the Black Lagoon monster. They do their speaking parts, the sheriff turns, grabs the cell door and it won't open. Both "actors" break down laughing and the director yells CUT, so I guess it was a good scene.
Yeah, things like that happen in live theatre all of the time. I've seen TV shows being filmed live and the goof-ups that occur are hilarious. Sometimes, it's all the actors can do to stay in character and not crack up themselves.
I don't know if you've ever seen the Carol Burnett show, but they constantly tried to crack each other up.
I watched that all of the time — as in every week! If memory serves it was Tim Conway who used to promote the laughter. I know he used to work on Harvey Korman all of the time. Just watching them trying to keep their faces composed was always a good time. :)
