I agree about a toggle, I think all packs should have toggles if possible. I enjoyed vampires when it was released in 2017, it does not mean I want vampires to show up and bite my sims when I am playing a family in Mt. Komorebi in Snowy Escape in 2021.
I think the issue was that the toggles they offered were not that great.
Strange as well that these toggles that are so difficult to do are all available through mods.

- They nerfed weather deaths pretty much entirely even though there was a toggle included with the pack to keep weather from affecting sims.

Toggles only work if people actually use them and the dollhouse crowd won’t. They prefer to simply have key pack features removed for their convenience and immersion, and anyone who specifically paid good money for those features can just go kick rocks.
I think the issue was that the toggles they offered were not that great.
- Only way to not have sims die of the weather effects because they were too dumb to switch clothes was to turn off weather effects completely, then you had sims walking in normal clothes in winter instead.
- You had to have a sim in the scientist career, get them promoted until they learned to make the satellite dish and then it only works for a day so you had to toggle it every day.
- You had to place garlic in front of the door in every household you played, and they still showed up, they could even interrupt you on community lots, preventing you from traveling.
- You had to level up your sim in handiness, just to be able to use the bed because it was the deadliest thing in the game.
- Turning off fame did not disable celebrities showing up on every lot and interrupting everything sims were doing, even sims that worked on community lots. Celebrity disguise could only be used if you played a celebrity.
