Same here, but when I give my stove the fuel cell upgrade I still can only cook the off the grid recipes and I am sure a few months ago when I last played with it I could cook the normal recipes too as long as the stove was fueled up. My stove is the one from Realm Of Magic and is labeled as functional off the grid, and the fuel level is high. But when I direct a sim to cook a normal recipe or bake they start but drop the action part way. Then when I select resume it says power doesn’t work off the grid.
I can get things to work with generators, windmills and solar panels but I thought that the fuel cell upgrade could work by itself to make ranges fully functional off the grid, am I wrong?
