I normally play offline, and will not go online until I read how the pach worked. Sometimes patches come with fixes I don't really need immediately, or they focus on a recent pack that I'm not getting in a while. Waiting a few days might even give modders a chance to update mods I can't play without.

Just open Origin, then go offline -before- you start the game.
