Off the Grid lot trait - how & where will you use it in your existing worlds?

I'm doing a challenge with a yeti sim, and part of the limitations is that he's unfamiliar with sim technology. I want to incorporate Off the Grid to help keep him confined to simple things until he's able to use them.
