I like the idea of them for the most part, but I hope they paid some attention to things that shouldn't conflict with the traits you actually chose for them. E.g., if you chose to make your toddler Angelic, they shouldn't pop up with the Aggressive quirk. And I'm not sure it makes sense to have a Clingy toddler that is also a Charmer.
That being said, I do like that they gave us a fairly easy way to change them. I think my preference would be to keep the discovered quirks, unless there is either some major conflict or if a particular quirk turns out to be overpowered. - SimGuruNinja
